“A me mi” si può dire
Sono sensibile alle storie di generosità, ai bravi Professori, alle persone in là con gli anni che vivono intensamente e trasmettono passione e vita. E all’amore, perché nelle belle storie l’amore c’entra sempre.
Tifo per i libri, le biblioteche, il sapere e tutti i suoi luoghi. Oddio, non che sia un avido lettore o un fine biblista o che mi possa ergere ad esempio. Mi ribello alla mia ignoranza e mi sforzo di disciplinarmi alla pratica del conoscere.
Senz’altro sono uno che legge e che ama la cultura, e siccome ho pure un blog, mi do da solo la patente per parlare di queste cose e spargere il seme dello scibile. Meglio se tramite l’antica arte del leggere libri e non spizzicare frasi, possibilmente accarezzati dalla carta e non solo illuminati dai pixel.
Vi dico una cosa, cari Spiriti Ribelli: leggete. E comprate e regalate libri, parlatene. Fuori dalle magie del Cosmo, dentro la realtà della storia e della memoria, le vere custodi dell’umanità, tutto inizia da un libro, e finirà in un libro.

Questo signore è il Professor Francesco Sabatini, fra i maggiori linguisti al mondo, Presidente Onorario dell’Accademia della Crusca, di Pescocostanzo (AQ), classe ‘31.
La foto è di ieri, in biblioteca. Anzi in uno spazio nuovo, da inaugurare. Infatti Sabatini ha donato 10mila libri alla Biblioteca dell’Università D’Annunzio di Chieti-Pescara; 10mila testi da lui studiati, sottolineati, vissuti, che potranno essere visionati da chiunque.
Il 92enne nell’occasione ha tenuto una lectio magistralis sul tema ‘I libri e la vita’. Tutti in silenzio, ad ascoltare uno studioso che è considerato un innovatore della Crusca, autore del Dantedì, e che ha anche detto che “a me mi” si può dire, perdinci, lo usava anche Manzoni!
Il Fondo che gestirà la sua eredità si chiama “Francesca e Francesco Sabatini”, in ricordo dell’amatissima compagna di vita, quella donna la cui mano, nelle lunghe passeggiate estive a Pesco, il Prof non lasciava proprio mai.
Aggiungo che durante il suo discorso l’unico a non piangere nella stanza era proprio lui.
